C'est la vive!
So, Tuesday I had sat at my desk and wrote a long post describing the prior week. It was a good post. And then...my dear son stuck a key in something?? and threw a breaker. Thank God he was fine...the key was a bit black and melted at the tip, but Ben was no worse for the wear. I honestly don't know what he stuck it in, but my guess is the back of one of the 10,000 computers George has laying around the house. I'm telling you, he brings home a stray once a week and they procreate during the night...seriously! But I digress...Since Ben threw a breaker, my computer shut off just as I was wrapping up the post. I have no desire to rewrite that post.
Just know that the entire family fell sick to a stomach virus last week (except for George). Sunday-Ben, Tuesday-Grace, Wednesday-me, Thursday-Ryan, Friday-Mom and Dad, and Saturday-Aunt Kaye. It was a gruesome, evil bug that hit us...one that resulted in crawling to the bathroom multiple times, much spraying of Lysol, overworking the washing machine, and consumption of three bottles of Sprite, one bottle of ginger ale, two bottles of Gatorade, and two boxes of popsicles. I passed out once with it and Mom nearly did twice. Dad had his usual strand of peculiar ramblings that accompany his being sick. It was a fun week to be had by all. I won't even get into the hurt and deception inflicted on this family by one of our own. That was just the icing on the cake from hell's bakery.
In other news, it has finally decided to cool off around here. Well, that is if you consider the upper 80's as cooling off...and I do. :) I plan on geting the kids out today to play for the first time in a long time. It has just been much too hot. We are all so ready for fall. It's my absolute favorite time of year. I love the pumpkin patches, the hayrides, and bonfires. Bring on the apple cider, fair foods, and pumpkin pie. Trick or treating, Thanksgiving, and a handful of birthdays are on the calandar. Cooler weather requiring a warmer wardrobe of sweaters, cords, and boots. I love it all!!
